Knitted and cotton fabrics require bleaching treatment to improve their dyeing performance and enhance dyeing quality. Hydrogen peroxide is commonly used in the bleaching process for knitted and cotton fabrics. However, residual hydrogen peroxide in the system will interfere with the subsequent dyeing procedure. The reactive dyes applied in dyeing are highly sensitive to oxidizing agents. As one type of oxidizing agent, hydrogen peroxide can damage and decompose the chromophore molecules of reactive dyes, resulting in mottling defects on knitted- cotton fabrics. Therefore, residual hydrogen peroxide must be completely decomposed and removed prior to the cotton fabric dyeing process. Catalase has been increasingly widely used in textile dyeing processes. As a protein- based biological enzyme, catalase exhibits specific decomposition activity toward hydrogen peroxide. It can specifically recognize hydrogen peroxide substrates in the system and rapidly decompose them into water and oxygen, efficiently removing residual hydrogen peroxide from cotton fabrics after bleaching. It effectively prevents residual oxidants from damaging the chromophore molecules of reactive dyes, reduces defects such as mottling, ensures stable operation of subsequent dyeing procedures, and improves the quality of finished fabrics.

Baico Biotech BBT Enzyme is a textile enzyme and household detergent enzyme manufacturer in China. Coated granular catalase CATANA®CA300G is developed by Baico Biotech and is a high concentrated textile enzyme. It can fully decompose residual hydrogen peroxide. Meanwhile, adopting the coating technology, BBT ENZYME CATANA®CA300G ensures enzyme stability during storage and application, and can easily penetrate into the interior of fabric fibers. Therefore, this product can decompose residual hydrogen peroxide not only in the water bath, but also highly- efficiently break down residual hydrogen peroxide trapped inside fabric fibers. It prevents residual hydrogen peroxide in water or fabric fibers from interfering with the dyeing performance of reactive dyes, and further improves the dyeing quality of fabrics.

BBT ENZYMES provide biological solutions and are developed to improve fabric dyeing performance. Forthe processing of light-shade cotton fabrics, after fabric pretreatment with BBT ENZYME BIO-SCOURING ENZYME RF838 K (D) or RF 838 W (D), add coated granular catalase CATANA® CA300G. Peroxide decomposition can be achieved with 10 minutes treatment at pH 6.0- 7.5, and the fabric can then proceed to the dyeing process. Catalase will be inactivated under alkaline conditions, and this product will not exert adverse effects on bleaching and dyeing performance. The peroxide-removal process takes place under mild process conditions without impairing fabric fiber strength. It optimizes fabric dyeing results and further enhances finished- product quality.

Coated granular catalase CATANA®CA300G delivers a biological solution for peroxide removal to improve dyeing quality. It helps textile mills stabilize product performance, strengthen market competitiveness and expand order sources.
