Hydrogen peroxide is widely used in chemical synthesis, paper making and textile industries with favorable environmental-friendly properties. In textile printing and dyeing, hydrogen peroxide is applied infabric bleaching processes. It acts on pigments on fabrics via strong oxidation to improve fabric whiteness, creating favorable conditions for light- and medium-shade dyeing. However, residual hydrogen peroxide after bleaching will interfere with the dyeing process and damage dye molecular structures, resulting in problems such as uneven dyeing and shade deviation of fabrics, which directly affect the quality of finished products. Therefore, hydrogen peroxide shall be completely removed before dyeing.

Catalase features high efficiency and substrate-specificity for decomposing hydrogen peroxide, so it is widely applied to remove residual hydrogenperoxide in textile printing and dyeing. This enzyme is mainly derived from bacteria and is mostly supplied in liquid form. Liquid catalase is susceptible to moisture and oxygen in the environment, which triggers denaturation of enzyme protein and leads to activity decay. Baico Biotech BBT Enzyme is a textile enzyme and household detergent enzyme manufacturer in China. Baico Biotech has launched the coated granular catalase CATANA® CA300G, one of famous BBT textile enzyme for textile industry. Adopting coating technology, it forms a protective shell for internal enzyme protein, preventing direct contact between enzyme protein and external moisture and oxygen. It effectively slows down activity loss and greatly improves storage stability. When stored in original sealed packaging at 27 °C, the product has a shelf-life of up to two years, eliminating concerns over enzyme activity decline caused by long-term storage.

BBT ENZYMES are a biological solutions. Developed to enhance the dyeing effect of fabrics. The coated granular catalase CATANA® CA300G from BBT ENZYME not only boasts the aforementioned advantages in storage stability, but also delivers highlyefficient and stable application performance. For knittedand cotton fabrics, this product can be dosed prior to the bio- polishing process. After a 10- minute reaction at 30–60 °C, residual hydrogen peroxide on the fabric can be completely eliminated. It requires no high temperature or acidic conditions, and the deoxygenation can be completed under neutral bath conditions, ensuring the uniformity of subsequent fabric dyeing.

With excellent storage stability and on-site application stability, the coated granular catalase CATANA® CA300G provides an efficient hydrogen peroxide removal solution for the textile printing and dyeing industry. It avoids quality defects such as uneven dyeing and whiteness fluctuation caused by residual oxidants, helping customers produce textile products with more consistent and uniform dyeing results.
